There are those who are already done with Christmas shopping by now (*looks up in complete admiration to her mum who buys all sorts of gifts during the year and puts them aside for birthdays, Christmas etc.*). And there are those who think, at the beginning of December, that they still have plenty of time and then, suddenly, realise that it is December 23rd and run around like headless chicken (umm, hi, that would be me then).
If you belong to the second category, like me, and still don’t know what Santa should bring your little ones this year, then this competition might be just what you need.

Our Big Dubai Adventure has teamed up with brand-new Dubai-based online kids store Toybox.ae to offer one lucky parent a AED 100 voucher to be redeemed on their website.
Toybox.ae’s online store is filled with kids toys, accessories, kids baking tools and more. But, most importantly, they sell all these beautiful wooden toys made in Germany that I know from my childhood and that are so difficult to find here in Dubai! Head to their website and you will understand what I am talking about😉
How can you win?
To enter the lucky draw, simply follow and on Facebook and tell us, in the comment section of this post, how you are planning to handle the Christmas shopping. Will you head to a mall? Or do you prefer to shop online and avoid the masses? Do you shop from local businesses? Or do you prefer international brands?
A winner will be picked on Wednesday, December 14th and contacted directly. Terms and condition apply.
Terms and Conditions
The competition is open to readers in Dubai only. The voucher is to be redeemed on Toybox.ae’s website and valid for the whole product range. All items are subject to availability. If a product below AED 100 is chosen, the difference cannot be paid out in cash. The voucher needs to be redeemed before December 19th if you want your order to be delivered on time for Christmas.
Good luck, everyone x

I don’t even touch the malls on the weekends!!! Online online online!!!!!

I tend to start my Christmas shopping at the start of December. And it’s usually a mixture of visiting the malls and some online purchases too. The convenience of online shopping is very admirable however; it’s lovely to take in all the festivities and decorations in the malls at this festive period too. After all when it’s so warm outside its difficult to truly capture the spirit of Christmas without a little time and effort!

A mix of mall and online shopping for us. I do prefer mall shopping though because I want to see and touch items to make sure it suits the receiver.

I’m not much of an online shopper; instead I’m always on the lookout for sales at malls and tend to achieve most of my shopping then!

I prefer shopping online these days as I don’t find everything I need in a mall. And being pregnant makes it tiring shopping at malls. I’m not particular about shopping from well known brands alone, I do love to try products from new local businesses as well.

A bit of a mix for me, some mall shopping, some online shopping for products not available in the UAE and some buying directly from local crafters or small businesses. Mostly buying just for the kids though as adult family members have decided we will do a charity contribution instead of gifts.

Gah! Shopping with a tot is so stressful! I’m doing several main pressies that don’t require physical buying / wrapping (spa day for sister, photo shoot for parents…) As for the tot, it’s a stealth process of hiding his gifts in the shopping cart so he doesn’t find them! X

First and foremost THANKS a million dear Our Big Dubai Adventure and Toybox.ae for being so generous and hosting such a fabulous giveaway…
Yeah I definitely fall into the second category mums who is still wondering what should I gift my kiddos for this Christmas… Oh they love this festive season and every year eagerly wait for their Santa to give them a gift and my darling boys try out their best to be good whole year just to receive a nice gift from Santa… I usually prefer online shopping because it’s quite easy and my kiddos doesn’t disturb me while I am shopping… I love to buy branded stuff for my children because as every mommy I want Best for them… This win will definitely sort my problem and my boys will receive a best festive gift ever… thanks once again!.. followed all the mentioned steps 😃

A mix for me . But the most important is that I choose presents from small business and hand maid gifts . I adore this kind of things and I know that for sure they will be a source of happiness for my family and friends. For my kids I bought some toys from toys box and from an other brand how sell wooden toys in a community market and some hand maid clothes, some books in a mall , and via Web we adopt for each one an orpheline elephant in kenya from a fondation how helps to protect them with the money and keep them in an orphelinat untill they can go back to the wide ❤❤ same for the rest of the family hand made some thinks from small businesses

I prefer going to one shop with my list, and get everything done! Online shopping can have its disappointments so I would avoid if time-bound.

Well now after being a mommy of 3 I prefer to do online shopping without having to search where my kids have got lost when I go shopping in malls. They are literally a handful and taking them out to shop need some 2 days of rigorous dos and donts whjch I have to feed in their little brain. But personally what I enjoy more is shopping directly from a mall with all the festivities around u.
Pls give me this mom of 3 this awesome reason tomake her kids smile,
Done all steps. Liked both pages.
