Since we arrived in Dubai eight months ago, I have tinkered with the idea of writing a blog. And finally, here it is! ourbigdubaiadventure
Why this name? Well, for different reasons. Firstly, it hints at our somewhat hectic arrival to Dubai: we have decided to leave Switzerland and to move to Dubai during my maternity leave. Our little Luca was just about three months at that time and we had never been to the UAE before. Not even on holidays. I had no clue about what to expect and, if any, I had a wrong image of Dubai. Secondly, it describes what we’re living every day since we have arrived in Dubai: a big adventure. Our big Dubai adventure. As a family. I mean, in Dubai, everything is an adventure. And being a family is an adventure on its own😉
Funny enough, I am writing my first blog post not from Dubai but from my mum’s house in good old Germany (even though I still feel like being in Dubai to be honest: the thermometer shows +43°C at the moment!). It is just so much easier to find a moment to set up a blog when grandma is looking after little L!
I am very much looking forward to writing this blog! Hopefully, I will have some time to write during the next weeks while Luca is playing in the park with grandma or granddad!

Just stumbled across your blog and wanted to say hi! We moved to Dubai when my biggest man was 6 months old and have gone on to have our littlest man since arriving 2 and a half years ago. Though in that time I’ve gone on to discover what a blog is and actually blog myself, being a full time mum needed me to have something other than just babies to occupy my day! Anyway – hello!
