ABOUT ME

Hi there! I’m Tani De Gregorio. The one behind this little blog. ‘Our big Dubai adventure’ started about three years ago when I quit my job in a multinational in Switzerland to follow my husband to sunny Dubai where we are living now with our two little munchkins, Luca (3) and Maëva (nearly 2).

This blog is not about the glamorous life of an expat wife. There’s just too many baby wipes and too few high heels in my life for that.

Instead, it’s about our daily adventures in the sandpit. About motherhood away from home. It’s about the kids. About fun things for them to do. Things you might not have heard of otherwise. It’s about workshops. And cool places to explore. In this amazing city we call home. At least for a little while…

You seem like a really lovely mummy and little L sounds like he’s turning into a super lovely little boy (and soon to be big brother!). As others have said, it’s little things that little people find the most wonderful, given them opportunities to do those things that give them joy, whatever and wherever they may be and life will never boring with little ones around!

I’m definitely part of the non-glamourous mum brigade and certainly not the only one who enjoys following you on your “boring” journey! xx

I feel uncomfortable in my post-kiddo body. Makeup? No way. Are we always having adventures? Not as much as we’d like, but I’m certain that my toddler is happy about the life we’re living, boring or not. Thanks for being so open and honest. Boring moms unite!

Count me in the boring squad as well. You (and I) are the best boring mom your child and family needs.

I was once asked in an interview how I felt about being different from the other ‘glamorous’ mom bloggers in Dubai. I didn’t know it was a pre-requisite! Yes, I’m boring that way too – I don’t work out, and you’ll find me reading a book instead of visiting a salon. I just can’t be bothered! You’re a loving mom, and it’s all that matters smile

Dear tani, I also follow the other bloggers you mention but I have to say u are by far my favorite one mostly because you are so downright real to your approach on everything mommyhood related. You are doing an amazing job with your son and I’m sure you will do the same with your soon to be baby girl.. Boring to some maybe but this world and especially the social media world needs more real people like you. Hugs

You are definitely not a boring mum, or a boring blogger. And I bet Little L wouldn’t say that either. Adventures to little ones aren’t always the big or the bold. Some of our best times have been in our garden or the kitchen. And you’re right, when I was pregnant we didn’t travel (though now he’s here we are off again!)x
