Those who follow me on will know that, for 2017, my husband and I have decided to do every month at least one thing that is out of the ordinary. Something that pushes us out of our comfort zone. As a couple. And as parents.
We have also decided that we would stop going to the same places every weekend. That we would stop doing the same activities over and over again. We’ve been living in Dubai for over two years now and I have the feeling that there is still so much to explore. That we haven’t seen enough of this beautiful country so far…
So, in 2017, we will go out more often. We will care a bit less about our kids’ nap and bedtime. And a bit more about the childhood memories they will make. We will think a bit less about the clothes that pile up on the chair next to our bed. And a bit more about what really matters.
There are many things we still want to do, many places we still want to see here in Dubai before we will be sent to another country one day. Watching a camel race is certainly one of them. Or rather was. Cause, last weekend, we went to the Dubai Camel Racing Club with the kids.
Not that I know a lot about camel races. I wish. We simply went for the experience. To show Luca an old Emirati tradition. To let him experience something different for once.
